Lights

Bicygnals Indicators

These things are amazing and not that expensive either.  I got hold of a pair of these in November 2008 and could not wait to use them.  They're big compared to other lights and come with a really decent mounting bracket (front and back).

Anyway, as you can imagine the winter mornings and nights are dark, so once I mounted the lights I was good to go.  The lights, front and back are super bright, well suited for cycling on the road, and then the fun part of trying out the indicators came.  These are operated by a button on the end of the front light, you literally only have to lift your thumb up and tap it, so no need to take your hands off the handle bars, they work great and are bright too ( I swear I see drivers in their cars look bemused at the sight of a cyclist with indicators).  And to top things off they are wireless and comply with road vehicle lighting regulations.

Unfortunately, onto the bad stuff.  The front light rattles lots when riding over rough ground (i'm being nice, the only way for them to not rattle is when you're stationary).   You can't move the lights up or down so easy; not good when you need to see the ground in front of you.  And to finish, since November the lights have stopped functioning correctly twice.  Luckily I took the batteries out, reset and synchronize the light set, and hey presto they work again.  To wrap it up, the lights are excellent, the indicator element is excellent too, but I think they need a little work to become perfect. 7.5/10.
